Congruência em conversões de registros de representação semiótica: análise orientada pela noção de relevância Congruence in conversion of registers of semiotic representation: relevance-theoretic analysis

Analisamos neste estudo a nocao de congruencia em conversoes de registros de representacao semiotica em matematica. Para tanto, aplicamos o mecanismo de interpretacao orientado pela nocao teorica de relevância para descrever e explicar a conversao de tres enunciados em lingua natural para os registros algebrico e grafico. As analises sugerem que a nocao de congruencia deve ser mais bem compreendida em termos relativos, de tal sorte que conversoes podem ser mais ou menos congruentes conforme o conjunto de inferencias requerido na tarefa, os registros de representacao em pauta, o sentido da conversao, o nivel de explicitacao da formalizacao e o dominio de regras de formacao envolvidas. We analyze in this study the notion of congruence in conversions of registers of semiotic representation. For that, we apply the relevance-theoretic comprehension procedure to describe and explain the conversion of three propositions from natural language to the algebraic and graphical registers. The analyzes suggest that the notion of congruence must be better understood in relative terms, so that conversions may be more congruent or less congruent according to the set of inferences required in the task, the registers of representation at stake, the direction of the conversion, the required level of explicitness of formalization, and the mastery of the involved formation rules.
