Network Joint Clock Synchronization and Ranging: Bayesian Linear Solution

In order to jointly estimate the clock skews, clock offsets and fixed relative distances, a network wide observation formula based on two-way timing stamp exchange mechanism is firstly derived, according to which, the implementation conditions and restrictions of the existing algorithms apply. Secondly, a novel global Bayesian linear (GBL) estimatior is presented in this paper. Compared with the other existed solutions, the proposed algorithm provides a recursive, rapid and low-complexity way, and frees the restrictions of symmetric and synchronous communications. Finally, the Monte Carlo experiments show that the GBL estimator achieves the relative better performance.
