Review on Methods of Multivariate Hydrological Joint Distribution and Copula Function

This paper introduces the methods of multivariate hydrological joint distribution in hydrological events.Copula function is summarized systematically,including its principle,its properties,its main classifications,methods of parameter estimation and fitting tests.The perspective of applying Copula function in multivariate hydrologic and hydraulic analysis is discussed.It points out that a further study should be promoted in the joint probability distribution of water quantity and water yield.
