The Effect of Diuretic Agents and Metabolic Inhibitors on O2-Consumption and Lactate Production of the Isolated Frog Skin

1969
O2-consumption (QO2) and lactate production of the isolated frog skin (rana temporaria) was measured by Warburg incubation. Several diuretic compounds were added to the incubation medium and changes in respiration as well as lactate production were measured and compared to control skins without the diuretic agent added.
