Chamotte-kaolin insulating bricks with an apparent density of 0.8–0.9 g/c m3

Using sandy kaolin raw materials at the Velikoanadaol'sk refractories combine we made lightweight insulants with an apparent density of 0.8 and 0.9 g/cm3, using coke fractions <3 and 5 mm, respectively. In both cases the articles had a relatively high strength and low thermal conductivity.
