Experimental assessment of an ultra-wide band (O to L) polymer thermo-optic switch matrix

An ultra-wide band (O to L) 4×4 polymer switch matrix is experimentally demonstrated. Results show 36dB switching ratio, <6.5dB fiber-to-fiber loss, and error-free operation with <0.15dB power penalty at 10Gb/s and 50Gb/s.
