Alternativas de abastecimiento de agua potable a la zona metropolitana de Guadalajara y perspectivas de impacto regional

In this document, consideration is given to the need for carefully reviewing alternative water supplies for the great metropolis, such as the metropolitan zone of Guadalajara. The policies of construction of mega project infrastructure for the water supply must be aligned to the desired vision of the city's future, advancing from the present approach based on the increase of the supply through works of great magnitude, to one that gives priority to the reduction of demand; which implies the incorporation of the efficient use of water and not responding only to benefits of a developmental and speculative nature.
