psi''(3770) resonance and DD-bar production above charm threshold in e/sup +/e/sup -/ annihilation

On the basis of a field-theoretic quark model proposed recently, the width of psi''(3770) has been calculated in terms of quark-model parameters. This has been utilized to obtain sigma(e/sup +/e/sup -/ ..-->.. DD-bar) around the center-of-mass energy corresponding to the psi'' resonance, where also the effect of psi and psi' as intermediate states for DD-bar production has been included. With GAMMA/sub e/e(psi'') as a free parameter, the results of the calculations have been compared with the experimental results. GAMMA/sub e/e appears to be smaller than earlier estimates.
