Shape memory alloys have been investigated intensively through the last years but still technical applications are very limited. Beside the most used Niti, Cu-Zn-Al and Cu-Al-Ni shape memory materials new alloys based on Cu-Al-Mn have been developed which possess better memory-properties than the conventional Cu-based alloys and therefore their technical importance will increase.
