The invention relates to a diaphragm device for the collimation of an X-ray beam of an intended for scanning an object under examination X-ray apparatus and an X-ray device comprising such a diaphragm device. The diaphragm device comprises two stops in the form of slot apertures, which are arranged in the direction of the X-rays behind the other and against each other adjustably mounted, each of said apertures - a fixed aperture corresponding to a maximum collimation of the X-ray beam, and - has an X-ray opaque area that each has an extent corresponding to the aperture corresponding to the maximum collimation.
