Application of PLC in the Control System of Fins-Former

The fins are the basic components of the plate-fin heat exchanger. And fins-former is the special device to produce heat-exchanger. In this paper, some fins-former is used as research subjects, and Mitsubishis FX2N Series 32MT high-performance small programmable controller (PLC) is chosen as the main control unit to design the control system of its nesting cutting device. Then the control program is prepared. AC servo is used in the motion control system and finally the automation and control of the nesting cutting process is realized. It provides a useful method and reference for the automation control and transform of the fins-former.
