Method for diagnosing selectively malignant tumor by differentiating malignant tumor and inflammation in f-18 fdg positron emission tomography using pioglitazone

2011
PURPOSE: A method for selectively diagnosing malignant tumor by classifying the malignant tumor and inflammatory lesion in a F-18 FDG positron emission tomography using pioglitazone is provided to selectively diagnose the malignant tumor lesion by classifying the malignant tumor and the inflammatory lesion for the imaging diagnosis of the positron emission tomography, by increasing the amount of intake of F-18 FDG remarkably in the malignant tumor lesion, and increasing or decreasing the amount of intake of F-18 FDG in the inflammatory lesion a little. CONSTITUTION: According to a method for selectively diagnosing malignant tumor by classifying the malignant tumor and inflammatory lesion for imaging diagnosis of a positron emission tomography, the amount of intake of F-18 FDG in the malignant tumor lesion is relatively increased by the processing of pioglitazone compared to the amount of intake of F-18 FDG in the inflammatory lesion for F-18 fluoro-2-deoxy-D-glucose positron emission tomography.
