Some Mechanistical and Computational Aspects on the Correlations that Might Exist between Irritable Bowel Syndrome Versus Sleep Patterns and Disturbances

2019
Considering the increased awareness on the complex pathophysiological mechanisms associated with irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), a chronic functional dysfunction, defined by a variable pattern of symptoms which can occur both in the small intestine and in the large intestine, in this report we decided to present some original aspects on the less studied and mostly unknown correlations that might exist between irritable bowel syndrome versus sleep patterns and disturbances.
