INTENÇÃO DE EMPREENDER E POTENCIAL EMPREENDEDOR DOS ALUNOS DOS CURSOS DE GRADUAÇÃO EM ENGENHARIA ELÉTRICA E EM ENGENHARIA MECÂNICA DA UNIVERSIDADE FEDERAL DO PAMPA

The following work had the main goal of identifying the entrepreneurial potential of the Electrical and Mechanical Engineering students from the Federal University of Pampa (UNIPAMPA), Campus Alegrete. This is an exploratory study, with a quantitative approach, elaborated through gathering, using a questionnaire applied in 140 students enrolled with the previous courses. As a result, the “entrepreneurial intent” and the “entrepreneurial potential” were compared based on the average points obtained through the success of the entrepreneurs found within the researched bibliography, which are 8.90 points to the “intention to undertake” and 8.03 points to the “entrepreneurial potential”. In the Mechanical Engineering course, the “intention to undertake” aspect had an average of 6.54 points and the “entrepreneurial potential” had an average of 7.70 points. The results obtained in the course of Electrical Engineering, regarding the “entrepreneurial potential” and the “intention to undertake, were very similar to the success of the entrepreneurs found within the literature used. The students of this course were much more eager to undertake than of those in the Mechanical Engineering course.
