The clinical observation of transcatheter arteria chemoembolization combined with external high frequency thermotherapy for advanced hepatic cancer
2009
Objective To evaluate the efficacy and side effects of transeatheter arteria chemoembolization combined with external high frequency thermotherapy for advanced hepatic cancer. Methods Thirty nine patients were randomly divided into 2 groups ,one group with 19 cases, the other 20 cases. The observed group was treated by transcatheter arteria.chemoembolization combined with external high frequency thermotherapy, and the control group by ordinary transcatheter arteria chemoembolization.Result The response rate with the observed group and control group were 73.7%(14/19) and 40%(8/20)respeetively(P<0.05),and its side effects was not increased. There was no significant difference in the survival rate. Conclusions The short term efficacy of the advanced hepatic cancer is improved by transcatheter arteria chemoembolization combined with external high frequency thermotherapy and its side effects is not increased.
