Synthesis and crystal structure of cocrystallite with silver octaethylporphyrin and C70

A new cocrystallite, which contains C70 and silver complex of octaethylporphyrin (AgII(OEP)), is prepared and characterized. Syn-formed configuration of AgII(OEP) molecule in AgII(OEP)⋅C70⋅CHCl3 cocrystallite was observed, suggesting that there is the strong face-to-face π-π interaction between two adjacent silver porphyrin molecules.
