The electric energy meter sealing device comprises a support, a photoelectric sensor and a positioning mechanism, a waste bin, a feeding mechanism, a clamping mechanism, a carrying mechanism and a sealing certifying mechanism, the feeding mechanism, the clamping mechanism, the carrying mechanism and the sealing certifying mechanism, wherein the support is arranged on an electric energy meter conveying track, the photoelectric sensor and the positioning mechanism are arranged on the conveying track located in the support and electrically connected with a control system, the support is provided with the waste bin, the feeding mechanism, the clamping mechanism, the carrying mechanism and the sealing certifying mechanism are electrically connected with the control system, the clamping mechanism is located between the feeding mechanism and the conveying track and connected with the feeding mechanism, and the sealing certifying mechanism is arranged on the carrying mechanism. According to the sealing method, the feeding mechanism conveys a sealing cap to the clamping mechanism, the clamping mechanism clamps and positions the sealing cap, the carrying mechanism controls the movement of the sealing certifying mechanism, the sealing certifying mechanism absorbs the sealing cap and presses the sealing cap into a sealing hole of an electric energy meter, and the sealing certifying mechanism verifies the sealing cap pressed and sealed on the electric energy meter. According to the electric energy meter sealing device and the sealing method thereof, sealing and verifying of the electric energy meter can be automatically finished, time and labor are saved, and the quality and production efficiency of the electric energy meter are improved.
