NOTE ON THE INTERRELATION BETWEEN THE MOVING STRIATIONS IN A CROSS TYPE DISCHARGE TUBE

1961
An investigation was made on the coupling between moving striations which are excited spontaneously through a discharge tube of cross type with four cold electrodes. The electric discharge was sustained between either facing or neighboring pairs of electrodes by means of two d-c power supplies which were independent of each other. The interrelation between frequencies of the striations which are observed at several key points is examined under various discharge conditions. Features on the discharge routes are also described.
