Electrical Heating Effects of the Floor Embedded with Carbon Black Mortar Slabs

Carbon black mortar slabs(CBMS) were embedded into the floor to work as the electrical floor-heating device.The test has lasted for about 252 hours. Variations of temperature of CBMS,floor tiles above CBMS,heat insulation layer under CBMS,and the air,and the energy consumption were recorded under different controlled temperature range in the field.Experimental researches showed that this automated heating system could perform the heating function reliably during the whole testing period.CBMS worked in a periodic way.The higher the controlled air temperature is,the longer time CBMS worked in every cycle,resulting in the more power consumption everyday.Resistance of CBMS varied no obvious.Thus,the electrical power of the heating system is stable.
