Research on the thermal stability of power Li-ion batteries during impact test

The relative factors of the battery thermal stability were obtained during the impact tests which simulated the most dangerous vehicle accident(vehicle crash).The results showed that the higher the battery state of charge,charging voltage(or discharge voltage,open-circuit voltage)environment temperature and the battery capacity was,the worse the battery thermal stability was,the thermal stability when length and width of the battery surface was impacted was worse than that of length and height of the battery surface under impacting,and the impurities and debris on the battery surface would reduce the battery thermal stability.
