The invention relates to a method for producing an artificial dentition. According to the invention it is provided that the artificial teeth comprising a base member which holds at least two gear blanks, comprising the steps of: • Machine create a negative mold based on a digital image of a tooth situation, • Machine shortening a length dimension held in the negative mold and prefabricated tooth blanks of a basal side, to obtain a dental policy geared tooth line, • connecting the base member and the shortened tooth blanks to the artificial teeth.
