Thermal analysis of model reactive polyimides

Abstract DTA, TGA, thermovolumetric analysis, IR spectroscopy and 13 C NMR have been employed to study the thermal conversions of a number of oligoimides based on pyromellitic dianhydride and 4,4′-diaminodiphenyl ether with different terminal reactive groups. The presence of structuring reactions over a wide temperature interval is shown.
