Apparatus and method of bubble column three-phase bio-reactor for purifying toluene waste gas

2009
The invention relates to an apparatus and a method of bubble column three-phase bio-reactor for purifying toluene waste gas. The apparatus comprises a bubble column three-phase bio-reactor, a buffer tank, a flowmeter, an air pump, an inorganic salt medium storage tank and a peristaltic pump constant-temperature electric heater; wherein the bubble column three-phase bio-reactor is a square column shaped shell. The side length of the square of cross section of the shell is 0.12-0.2m. An air distribution plate is arranged in the central position of the bottom of the shell. A detachable pysamid shaped seal is arranged at the upper part of the shell. A water outlet is arranged at a position adjacent to the bottom surface below the shell, and the internal diameter of the water outlet is 5 timesthat of immobilized thallus; wherein height-diameter ratio of the shell is 10:1-12:1. Toluene is purified by immobilized Pseudomonas putida WQ-03. A liquid phase is the inorganic salt medium, and the bubble column three-phase bio-reactor has no internal components, thus the rising resistance of air is small, the stay period is short, and the treating effect is good. Therefore, the research of using immobilized thallus to purify toluene waste gas in the bubble column three-phase bio-reactor has important actual application value.
