Human factors recommendations for highly automated driving in the EU project AdaptIVe

2016
Due to technical developments our cars become more and more intelligent and are able to take over an increasing amount of driving tasks leading its way to highly automated and autonomous driving. The EU Project AdaptIVe develops innovative automation functionalities for highway, urban and parking scenarios with focus of the changing role of the driver in automated vehicles. The more we automate vehicles, the more important human machine interaction becomes. Derived from literature and conducted experiments AdaptIVe created a catalogue of human factors recommendations which should work as a guideline for implementing a propter human machine interaction.
