Light absorption formula for phosphorescing particles
1994
Abstract A generalized probabilistic model for describing the absorption of monochromatic radiation by phosphorescing species is suggested. The model takes into account the life-time of the triplet state by means of a Kolmogorov probabilistic approach. An absorption law was derived in this way which turns out to be an extension of the classic Bouger-Lambert-Beer law for the case of phosphorescing substances.
