System for selective laser melting with a rotating relative movement between the powder bed and powder spreader

The invention relates to an installation (11) for selective laser melting with a process chamber (22). The invention is characterized in that a carrier (12) for a powder bed (15) is cup-shaped, with a bottom plate (23) produced as a basis for workpieces (13) and a cylindrical wall (24). Advantageously, these supports can be rotated to produce the powder bed by means of a powder distributor (21) and for the purpose of production of the workpieces (13) without there being a relative movement between the powder particles and the wall (24). Therefore, a powder bed with a high quality can be produced, whereby the workpieces produced are of high quality.
