Organ and tissue transplantation: an Australian perspective

2004
Nursing care is an integral part of any transplant with nurses also providing important patient education on self medication and the prevention of infection and rejection, as well as psychological support for the recipient and family. The authors focus on transplants and recipients, outlining some advances and the processes involved. The nursing care required by participants is discussed. (non-author abstract)
