Thermostabilizers as a factor in the fatigue strength of polyamide fibre

However, the effect of this stabilizer on the fatigue properties of polyamide fibre has not been studied in depth, the experiments usually being confined to the properties of high-orientation thermostabilized fibres. The feasibility of regulating the action of the thermostabi]izer by means of the basic technological process, i.e. orientation stretching, has not been investigated. The part played by a thermostabilizer in the context of the kinetic theory of failure has not been elucidated in the literature. The aim of the work reported here was to find an answer to these problems.
