Research Progress of the Control Mechanisms of Astragalus Polysaccharides on Diabetic Nephropathy

Diabetic nephropathy(DN)is a common complication of diabetes,the pathological mechanism of which is complicated,and it is a major factor leading to the death of diabetic patients,so far there is no western medicine of exact efficacy can delay the DN process.As one of the main active ingredient in astragalus,astragalus polysaccharides(APS)has a wide range of pharmacological effects,many studies have shown that astragalus polysaccharide has a significant role in the prevention and treatment of DN.Here is to briefly introduce the research progress in the prevention and treatment mechanism of DN to provide prospect for APS clinical application.
