Study on causes and related factors for progressive cerebral infarction and countermeasures for its prevention

2013
Objective To explore the related factors responsible for progressive cerebral infarction and countermeasures for its prevention. Methods Forty cases of progressive cerebral infarction during January 2007 to April 2011 were allocated as study group,280 patients non-progressive cerebral infarction in the same period were allocated as control group, and the difference in related factors were compared between these two groups. Results There was no significant difference in gender structure and age range between these two groups(P0.05).The rate of plaque stenosis in internal carotid artery in patients of observation group(72.50%),their average temperature(38.71 ± 0.29℃),serum levels of CRP(20.22 ±3.71 mg/L)and FBG(8.72 ± 1.32 mmol/L) were higher than those of control group(42.50%,37.58 ± 0.24 ℃,11.98 ± 3.27mg/L and7.09 ± 0.98 mmol/L respectively)(P0.05),and mean arterial pressure(106.82 ±14.40 mmHg) in observation group was lower than that of control group(128.68 ±15.23 mmHg)(P0.05),and these were related factors responsible for progressive cerebral infarction. Conclusion The occurrence of progressive cerebral infarction is related with many factors, and it is important to take measures for decreasing blood lipids, application of anticoagulants, regulating blood pressure, dealing with fever, controlling blood level of glucose and other measures to prevent and reduce the occurrence of progressive cerebral infarction.
