Looking towards N.M.R. at 1 GHz

A general discussion of the advantages and problems one is facing in recording M.M.R. spectra at high field is presented. After an examination of the technical problems of the building up of a high-resolution N.M.R. spectrometer working at a field higher than 20 Tn, it is concluded that this is a today experimental challenge
