Ultrafiltration Characterization of Aquatic Organics
1979
There is a growing awareness of the need for
control and removal of organic trace contaminants
from natural waters and public drinking
waters. An associated problem is the need for
new analytical procedures that can be used on
a routine basis for detecting, identifying,
and/or characterizing trace contaminants.
Aquatic organics include a broad spectrum of
man-made and naturally occurring materials
ranging from low molecular weight solutes to
particulates and associated metal species.
Individual compounds are present at very low
concentrations and therefore difficult to identify
or characterize.
