Sydney--a demographic profile.

The present paper presents a demographic profile of [Sydney Australia] as a teaching resource base. The paper briefly examines Sydneys recent population history current patterns and likely demographic future. A Sydney region local government area data base is provided in an appendix for use in student exercises and other analyses. The statistical information presented in the tables through the paper and in the appendix provide a baseline for an on-going data file teachers will be able to maintain as relevant demographic data becomes available in the future.
