Summary The measurement of exhaled NO which plays important role in the regulation of lung functions is a very important development. The measurement of exhaled NO level as an indirect marker of airway inflammation has a great advantage as it is an non-invasive, easy and repeatable method. But there are a lot of factors which effects the measurement of exhaled NO. This review deals with the place of measurement of exhaled NO level in the pulmonary diseases and the factors which effect this method.
