Ink jet recording apparatus of interleaving system

1996
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form an image on a recording medium more rapidly by interleaving the application timing of a plurality of power pulses applied to at least a first emitter to second application timing. SOLUTION: Leading pulses 62 having a time T1 are applied to a first emitter (i) and, subsequently, printing pulses 64 having a time T3 are applied to the first emitter (i) at a relaxation time T2. At the relaxation time T2 [between leading pulses 62 and printing pulses 64] of the first emitter (i), no pulses are applied to the first emitter (i) at all and the leading pulses 62 are applied to a second emitter. In the same way with respect to emitters on and after, at the relaxation time between the leading pulses and printing pulses of the emitter before one, the leading pulses to the next emitter is interleaved in accurate timing. By this method, the total time required for ejecting ink from the emitters over the whole of a printing head can be reduced.
