Sensitivity of miniature packaged long external cavity laser (LEC) to mechanical vibrations and ambient temperature

A miniature LEC laser was maintained in the same longitudinal mode as the ambient temperature was cycled between 5 and 40 degrees C, and operated continuously in the same mode for a period >1680 hours (70 days). Its optical frequency deviation was less than 120 MHz for a 2 m/s/sup 2/ mechanical vibration level in the frequency range 40 Hz-20 kHz. >
