As contribuições do software GeoGebra como um mediador do processo de aprendizagem da geometria plana na Educação a Distância (EAD) em um curso de Licenciatura em Pedagogia.

2014
This research aims to determine the contributions of the use of GeoGebra software as a mediating tool for the teaching and learning process of Euclidean plane geometry content in a distance education modality for students enrolled in a Pedagogy Course in a federal university in the state of Minas Gerais. This research was conducted through the proposition of a pedagogical intervention from constructions and demonstrations of Plane Geometry content extracted from the first book of Euclid's Elements collection with the use of GeoGebra software. The theoretical background applied Vygotsky's Mediation Theory; Moore’s Interaction Theory, and Moore and Kearsley’s Transactional Distance Theory. Qualitative and quantitative data were collected simultaneously in an equal way and the data were analyzed and interpreted in accordance with the assumptions of the mixed methods study of type QUAN + QUAL. The results of this study show that there are possibilities for the use of GeoGebra in order to contribute to the learning of Plane Geometry content for students enrolled in the teaching in a long distance course because the use of this software encourages the development of students' autonomy by enabling the reduction of a transactional distance that can occur in virtual learning environments. According to these results an educational product was designed with a notebook of suggestions formatted for teachers who seek to contribute to the teaching and learning content of Plane Geometry for students studying in long distance modalities, as well as for other education professionals regarding to the teaching profession.
