These courses vary a lot in kinds, integrate knowledge of different disciplines, and use both high and low technologies. They have advanced course design philosophies. The objectives of course design are clear and accurate. The courses involve many educational levels, and are widely provided. This paper believes that learning the design of America's higher education courses of assistive technology will provide valuable references for our country to set up courses of assistive technology in the philosophy, name, content, objectives that are intended to be achieved, as well as the possible depth of the courses and the research that should be done, etc.
