LOG-LINEAR MODEL ANALYSIS ON RELATION OF DRINKING WITH HYPERTENSION IN MONGOLIAN PEOPLE

[Objective]To explore relation of drinking with hypertension in Mongolian people.[Methods]Log-linear model method was used to analyze the main effects of various factors and interaction.[Results]Drinking alcohol was significantly associated with blood pressure in young and old age groups among males(P﹤0.05),but not in middle age group among males and all age groups among females(P﹥0.05);Drinking alcohol amount was significantly associated with blood pressure in all age groups among males and middle age group among females(P﹤0.05),but not in young and old age groups among females(P﹥0.05);Number of years of alcohol drinking was significantly associated with blood pressure in young age group among males(P﹤0.05),but not in middle and old age groups among males and all age groups among females(P﹥0.05).[Conclusion]Drinking alcohol amount was associated with hypertension among Mongolian population;The log-linear model is a ideal method to analyze interactions in high-dimensional contingency table.
