Estrés en ‘Garnacha’ ecológica de la D.O. Tarragona: efecto de la fertilidad y añada

2021
The increase in temperature derived from global warming and other abiotic factors are causing, in the vineyards of the Mediterranean area, a decrease in the quality of the wines. In the present study, it was proposed to analyse the incidence of soil and climatic factors in ‘Garnacha’ vineyard, as well as studying the effect of different treatments carried out in soil organic fertilization. It has been found that the effect of the vintage seems to be more important than the effect of soil fertilization. When several factors were combined (soil situation, meteorology, vintage factor, and cultural practices) as happened on the experimental winery in the two years prior to the study period, the result was high stress in vineyard. With organic fertilization, plants with weak vigour reacted positively. However, in the second year of the trial, with a more favourable weather situation, better results were obtained in the growth of the plant and in the yield and quality of the grape.
