Liquid or fluid food

PURPOSE:To obtain a liquid or fluid food having action capable of improving abnormality of enteric flora. CONSTITUTION:The objective liquid or fluid food contains (A) cow lactoferrin and (B) either one of at least 0.01wt.% water soluble and sparingly digestible saccharide, at least 0.5wt.% fetal calf serum albumin, at least 0.5wt.% soybean protein and at least 10mg/l iron expressed in terms of iron or their arbitrary mixture. This food improves abnormal bacterial constitution of enteric flora of humans or animals and is used as a nourishing meal for lowered digestion function of immature babies, newborns, babies, old persons or patients after operation and simultaneously enhances function for protecting infection against pathogenic bacteria by successively using the food and has effects on prevention and treatment for diarrhea and infectious diseases caused by pathogenic bacteria in a digestive tract ranging from stomach to large intestine.
