Amac: Bu calismada, Hacettepe Universitesi Hemsirelik Fakultesi Dergisi’nde ilk yayina basladigi 1994 tarihinden, 2013 tarihine kadar yayinlanmis olan makalelerin makale ve yazar ozelliklerinin incelenmesi amaclanmistir. Gerec ve Yontem: Tanimlayici ve retrospektif olarak planlanan calisma iki asamada gerceklestirilmistir. Calismanin birinci asamasinda, derginin yayinlanmis tum sayilarindan bir arsiv olusturulmustur. Ikinci asamada; her bir dergi sayisinin ve her bir sayida yer alan makalelerin ozellikleri literatur dogrultusunda olusturulan Veri Toplama Araci ile toplanmistir. Veriler sayi ve yuzde kullanilarak degerlendirilmistir. Bulgular: Dergi sayilarinin incelendigi 20 yil icerisinde 281 makale yayinlanmis olup, makalelerin %51.2’si arastirma makalesi, %90’i Turkce, %81.3’u tanimlayici tiptedir. Makalelerin %44.5’i iki yazarli, %96.4’unun yazari kadin, %83.7’sinin yazari akademisyen hemsirelerden olusturmaktadir. Makalelerin konu alanlarinin cogunlugunun hemsirelik esaslari (%16.7) ve ic hastaliklari hemsireligi (%16.7) oldugu belirlenmistir. Sonuc: Olgu sunumu, cocuk sagligi ve hastaliklari hemsireligi ve halk sagligi hemsireligi alanlarindaki makalelerin ve Ingilizce makalelerin arttirilmasi, klinik hemsirelerinin yazarlik konusunda desteklenmesi ve derginin indekslenmesi icin gerekliliklerin karsilanmasi gereklidir. Aim: In this study, aim was to investigate author and article features of manuscripts published in the journal from 1994, the first year of publication, to 2013. Material and Methods: Study was planned as retrospective and descriptive; and conducted at two phases. In first phase of the study, an archival files from published issues created. In second step, articles and article features reviewed with Data Collection Tool, which was developed based literature. Data was analyzed by using number and percent. Results: Between 1994 and 2013, 281 articles was published, and 51.2% of the articles were research article, 90% were written in Turkish, 81.3% had descriptive type. 44.5% of articles had two authors, 96.4% of the articles’ authors were female, and 83.7% of their authors were nurse academicians. Subject areas of the most of the articles were fundamentals of nursing (16.7%) and internal medicine nursing (16.7%). Conclusion: Increasing the number of case reports, pediatric nursing and public health nursing articles and articles in English, supporting clinical nurses about authorship and meeting indexing requirements for the journal mentioned as needs.
