Children with injuries who are transported from community hospitals to a pediatric trauma center (PTC) are at risk for increased radiation exposure due to repeated imaging. Prior work has focused on the reduction of repeat CT scans for transferred patients, but little work has explored minimizing radiation exposure for patients transferred with orthopedic injuries.
