Study of the structure and properties of oleophilic phosphonic cationites

Oleophilic phosphonic cationites have been synthesized from styrene-divinylbenzene copolymers acylated by carboxylic acid chlorides. Their structure has been examined by IR spectroscopy. The swelling coefficients in some organic solvents have been determined. The apparent dissociation constants of the obtained cationites have been calculated. The acyl radical length was found to have no effect on their acidity.
