Method and apparatus for producing a printed product and printed product

For producing a printed product in a printing machine for web-shaped substrates, two printing sections are printed at least one on each side with respective print images of printed pages to a same or to two different web strands and the two press portions to each other at a point located in the respective transport path through the printing machine downstream of the printing position performed so that they are aligned with one another to lie with mutually facing sides flat on one another with at least their leading ends. A first of the two pressure sections will be provided with at least one transversely or at least mainly transverse to the transport direction extending predetermined breaking line. Before stacking of the two guiding two pagewidth print portions, the first of the two pressure portions, or the second of the two printing sections with edge-side, extending in the transport direction glue lines is provided. For this, the printing machine has correspondingly arranged and configured transverse gluing devices and a correspondingly formed tool for inserting the predetermined breaking line.
