Trichoptera Colonization in the Irrigated Meadows of Norcia (Umbria, Italy)

1987
The repartition biozones of 20 Trichoptera species are indicated for the “Marcite” or irrigated meadows of Norcia, where only 2 of these (Sericostoma italicum, Odontocerum albicorne) are common to the entire water system. Five species are endemic to the Italian fauna (Rhyacophila [oliacea, R. rougemonti, Polycentropus malickyi, P. mortoni, S. italicum). Two species were noted for the first time in Italy (Adicella cremisa, Hydropsyche sp.n. ?), and the former, the morphological characteristics of the larval head and case are illustrated.
