Socio-economic Deprivation Among Slum Dwellers: A Case Study of Migrants in Slums of Allahabad

Poor educational development in slums is both the result and consequence of poverty and low income. Due to low income, children’s education is greatly affected in slums. This is coupled with unavailability of social infrastructure such as schools which results in low educational development in slums. High proportions of children who live in slums are out of school.
