Vibration research of lattice wind tower based on ANSYS

With the development of increasing capacities of the wind tower, the height of the wind tower and the quality of the tower top equipments are improved gradually, which make higher and higher requirements of the vibration control of the wind tower. In order to study the influence of different directions and amplitudes of the wind load on the concrete steel tube of lattice wind tower, the vibration analysis of the tower under three wind directions of 0°, 30°, 60°, and three working statuses of rated wind speed, tangential wind speed and extreme wind speed are studied by the ANSYS software. The experiment results show that the maximum stress of the tower happens in the bottom part, and the maximum displacement of the tower appears at the top of the tower, which all can satisfy the system condition of allowable displacements and stresses. Therefore, the study can be useful in the design and installation processes of the wind tower.
