A Study on Induction Conditions for A Trypsin-like Protease(Pr2) of Pythium guiyangense Su

2008
Objective:To study the induction conditions of a trypsin-like protease(Pr2) of Pythium guiyangense Su,a mosquito-killing fungus.Methods:Pr2 activity was tested with special substrate(Ben-Phe-Val-Arg-NA) and the concerntration of total extracellular protease was used as index to evaluate effects of factors including temperature,pH etc.So as to find the optimal conditions for Pr2 induction. Results:The optimal conditions tested for Pr2 induction were:26 ℃,initial pH8.0,inoculative quantity of fungal hyphae=1 g/100 ml,and using 1% cicada exuviae as the inducer. Conclusion:The summarized optimal induction conditions for Pr2 from P.guiyangense provide useful reference for further study of the enzyme.
