Ernährung und Landwirtschaft als Schlüssel für die SDGs

2020
Current systems of food production have failed to provide nutrition to the global population, depleted ecosystem services and biodiversity, contributed to climate change, and have been unable to trigger inclusive economic growth. If the world remains on this path, it will not achieve sustained development as envisioned in the 2030 Agenda. The food systems approach is a powerful tool to identify pathways towards sustainable food and agriculture sectors that capitalize on synergies between the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Most importantly, the UN system needs to advocate for sustainable food systems to reach the benchmarks of the 2030 Agenda and meet commitments made under the Paris Agreement on Climate Change.
